The cause of his death was Paralysis (4 weeks).   Marriage Notes: "December 1820. "Archibald Bathgate, Carter, Limekilns, and Margaret Bowman residing there, gave in their names for proclamation in order to being regulartly proclaimed and no objection made they were married by" The entry stops at that point without having completed who married them. Quite a few of the entries around this one have the same failing! However, the next entry is complete and ends "... by the Rev'd William Forfar 29th current". It is unlikely, though, that Archibald and Margaret were married by the same minister. 2
