Believed aboard the Ariel Gazelle in the Eyemouth disaster. skipper was Alex Burgon father of John Burgon who persihed woth his other brothers. They headed out to sea instead of the shore and only made harbour on the arrived back on the Sunday morning. Alex Burgons hands had to be prised from the tiller. Two weeks later the Ariel Gazelle headed the Eyemouth fleet's return to the sea.
