This lady apparantly remarried following the death of her first husband. She later died after her skirt caught fire whilst she was cooking. Her husband who was deaf, was in bed and did not hear her screams and when she ran out of the house a neighbour tried to smother flames with a coconut mat which only made matters worseThis lady was apparently in Staffs at the time of the 1891 C living at 31, America Street, Stoke on Trent in 1881 with family sister Harriet. Sarah was know as "Ganny" Jones by Nora Rochester [Rochesterlast.FTW]

Sarah married John Thomas Rochester, son of Robert Rochester and Mary Ann Fairbairn, on 29 Mar 1890 in New Seaham.¹ The marriage ended in divorce. (John Thomas Rochester was born in 1863 ^{1 2} and died on 13 Dec 1924 ^{1 2}.)
