From discussion with Sheila Fairbairn (grand-daughter): this was also known as "Wooers' Alley". It lay on the west side of Bruce Street (where there is now a car park). It can be clearly seen on the 1896 Ordnance Survey large scale town plan where Alley Place leads to Wooers' Alley House.
