Obituary
Thomas Muir Fairbairn
After a lengthy illness on September 4, 1976 at 2 E.C.U. at St. Boniface Hospital, Tom Fairbairn aged 64 years, beloved huband of Henrietta (nee Sund of Woodlands) of 826 Dudley Ave., Winnipeg.
Born in Cove, Scotland, Mr. Fairbairn came to Canada in 1929 and had spent 24 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. At the time of his illness he was employed by Motor Coach Industries, and was a member of Rockwood Army and Navy Unit 303.
Surviving to mourn his loss besides his wife, Henrietta are: two sons and three daughters, Jim and daughter-in-law, Glennys; son, Doug; Alice and son-in-law, Gordie Priest; Diane Baron and Michele, and five grandchildren, all of Winnipeg; one sister, Alice in Australia; two brothers, Jim of Scotland; William of Wales. Predeceased by an infant son in 1942 and a daughter, Verna Anne Scully in 1965.
Funeral service will be held on September 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the Woodlands Community Hall. Rev. W. Moore officiating. Interment in the Woodlands Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
